Installing MovieEdit Task MovieEdit Task is used to edit movie images shot with a Canon Camera. It is launched from ZoomBrowser EX. ZoomBrowser EX version 5.0 and higher support MovieEdit Task. Make sure that ZoomBrowser EX version 5.0 or higher has been installed before installing MovieEdit Task. Once you have installed MovieEdit Task you can use both MovieEdit Task and MovieExport Task. MovieEdit Task and MovieExport Task use QuickTime in their internal processing. The two tasks are compatible with QuickTime versions 5 and 6. Before launching MovieEdit Task or MovieExport Task, make sure that QuickTime version 5 or version 6 is installed on your computer. When installing QuickTime, select [Recommended] from the install option. 2. Files that MovieEdit Task does not support MovieEdit Task and Movie ExportTask do not support the following files. - RAW image files - Files with filenames longer than 64 bytes - Files with images larger than 5,000 x 5,000 pixels - Files with images smaller than 50 x 50 pixels - QuickTime VR format files 3. Note regarding PCs with low processing power MovieEdit Task requires an extremely high processing capacity to process movie images. When previewing movie files on computers with low processing power, you may therefore experience stilted action and disjointed sound. However, the actual file itself is unaffected by these problems and will be saved normally. Moreover, on a PC on which an audio device cannot be used, the Preview and Save operations may not be performed normally. In this case, you should make an audio device available. 4. Saving movie image files 1) There must be enough disk space available in order to use MovieEdit Task and MovieExport Task. When saving movie files, you should make sure that there is enough space on the disk that you are saving to. If you try to save a movie file to a disk that does not have sufficient space, you may not be able to finish saving the file, or you may not be able to save it properly. 2) When saving a movie file, do not run a screen saver. If you run a screen saver while saving a movie file, the save may be canceled before it is complete, and you may not be able to save the file properly. 5. About QuickTime 1) When installing QuickTime, select [Recommended] from the install option. Selecting [Minimum] will not install QuickTime components necessary for running MovieEdit Task and MovieExport Task. 2) Try the following measures if you have any problems with audio playback in MovieEdit Task. - Select [Sound Out] from the pop-up menu on the [QuickTime Settings] control panel. If DirectSound is available, check that [DirectSound] has been selected. - Click the [Options] button and increase the FIFO size (milliseconds). - If neither of the above works, select [waveOut] mode in [Sound Out] settings, and increase the buffer size (milliseconds). - If you experience problems replaying 8-bit audio, select [8 bit] in the [Sound Out] settings.
